(Let There Be) A New Mood

I go out of the Museum and look at the Town Hall (the one with three Dianas). The dragon on its Latin tower is pining for Heaven, set against an evening sky that cloaks the Principality in a mood that I hadn’t seen – or noticed – for ages, maybe even never at all. It feels so fresh and unchartered that it may well have been that the Creator had just said: LET THERE BE A NEW MOOD! And a very personal wave of exotic thrill and mysterious life (if they're not one and the same thing), goes through me – and after descending the steps I start walking through it…

PS No matter how much we try to stifle it, it'll carry on exciting; this or that side of Plato, or the grand Idea…speaking of Plato: by Jove! (no I haven't mixed up gods - I'm just writing this post-Roman conquest) Even if Pato wasn't right*, he was nearly right!
