I don’t trust the Lord

(Religion)
There’s Brian Ferry on one station, Wagner on another and a fascinating repeat of an old David Frost piece on Nixon on the third one. I’m in a state of unhealthy intellectual agitation compounded by emotional frustration. I keep jumping from one station to another to another. I want it all, and I want it now. (He said that all may be mine, but I don’t trust the Lord, again). Eventually, I reject the abundance of good stuff, switch off the receiver and, just like Satan himself,  sulk in dead silence and darkness.

P.S. Yes, there is the BBC iPlayer, but I haven't got all the time in the world (or maybe I do, but I don't trust the Lord): I'm going to die. And what if the scientific Pharisees* are right and there is no resurrection?

*Yes, I know: Sadducees would be more appropriate here.
