The mad experiment* goes on: clowns, fruitcakes, loonies, closet racists and - for most parts - ignorants exercising their right to condone the destruction of the country by obliging politicians.
UKIP: Well done, guys. Fully deserved.
The usual Clowns, Fruitcakes, Loonies and Closet Racists, i.e. voters, have finally got something right.
(Which obviously doesn't mean that democracy makes sense; it's just a random happy choice on the part of a minority that is quite unstable intellectually, to say the least: just look at whom many of them have been voting so far. Need I say more?)
PS1 BBC Radio 4's Today, today morning: discussed at length the results... focusing on party-political consequences and implications (one pundit: "it all depends now on how well UKIP will use the new opportunities of publicity...") rather than on... the ISSUES - beggars belief! Among the guests they invited to discuss the elections, there was no one from UKIP***; true to form.
PS2 Kenneth Clarke - so, so, so dripping wet. And through his attitude, v. dangerous for democracy; which makes him an ally, actually...

*** it could be that UKIP turned down an invitation, but I guess someone would have mentioned that - and no one did. It's all so predictably and depressingly wet, wet, wet. (Actually, I'll play something now to cheer myself up).
