You must know by now that I am as tolerant, fair and generally open-minded as the next man. I've always been in favour of people of various cultures getting to know and mixing with - without excesses, though - people of other various [sic; it's intended to be original, so stop moaning, OK?] cultures, learning what they look like, and generally - learning something from them. Today, e.g., I tuned in to BBC Asian (Radio). All sounded fine and I learnt a lot about what some Bengali listeners like to eat. Cool.
There was one issue, though: is it really necessary to play that awful music?
PS But at some point from among some really testing stuff, came this gem. (The female vocalise is just sublime. Immediately, I was taken - as Mr Phileas Fogg - into a sultry evening of the British Raj. Looking at the red sun sinking behind the dome of Taj Mahal, I upheld Princess Aouda, swooning into me... - sorry, sorry; I just didn't manage to turn it off fast enough; and then it was too late - she was already descending...)
