Don't interview. Interrogate.

I tuned in to BBC Radio 4 a moment ago and came across someone pretending to be a half-wit female ‘economist’ arguing for more state banking, state ownership of businesses, government market intervention and somesuch nonsense as part of a boring comedy programme – or so I thought.

But it’s just turned out I'm listenting  The WorldTonight, a seemingly serious news bulletin.

I don’t get it.

I imagined that by now even small kids know that you don’t interview ‘economists’ who advocate for the state meddling in the economy. You interrogate them ruthlessly. And then intern them; or preferably imprison.
