A Nearly Perfect Gift (on a 160 bus to Targówek)

I've just lost my notebook bag. I left it on a bus, dreaming of a white Christmas, or someone like that.

My cool matt-black ThikPad T43 was safe at home, but when I was going through the contents that accidentally ended up in the bag before that journey, I realised that this was one of the most beautiful sets of gifts someone's ever going to receive.

Inside were a loaf of home-made bread, some olive oil, the Iliad and the Odyssey.

Do finds get much better than that*?

PS Just in case the finder is a young working class woman with no aspirations to become middle class**, in the smaller section of the bag was another set: "The Saint Goes West" (in paperback and funny), a box of tic-tacs and the keys to my flat.

*yes, easily. Add wine.
**there's nothing wrong with that - or is there? I don't know, really. It's a hard one. Anyway, my view is that it's enough to read just a few lines of Homer to become classless for ever.
