London broadcasting

In front of the building that housed the British Embassy in Warsaw before WW2, someone shouts "Help!". I slow down, half-expecting to see the ghost of Joseph Beck, but it's just a Beatles tribute band.

I'm too old for such emotional stuff,  so I want to speed up again.

Just then, however, a slow-moving a flotilla makes me stall. On a big screen the Beeb is broadcasting pictures from London. There the Thames carries a breath-taking medley of boats and one of them carries my favourite - after the one in Heaven - Queen.

(And the loudspeakers blurt out London Calling*.)

*which I ignore: it's is not the London I want to remember now. Now I want to recall the London that loves its Queen and can joyously and impressively salute her. And I do.

(Of another jarring piece of music - soon).
