Major psychology, minor psychology

Yes, there is a mysterious interaction between matter and spirit, between the body and the soul, between the brain and the mind.

And yes - it is psychology to look into how the boring affects the interesting, i.e. how the body affects the mind. But it's lesser psychology.

Major psychology looks into how the interesting affects the boring, how the exciting affects the mundane, how the mind affects the body, how the soul affects matter. (Or actually psychology can merely register it - only Philosophy can investigate 'how?')

It's the kind of psychology that notices Miss Thought wrap the brain round her little finger and whisper: "And now, boy, get your tiny bits - what are they called?... never mind -  to arrange themselves into the shape of... hmm.... let me think.. say: a heart. Yes - a heart. And make sure it shows on the scan that nice man in white is doing.

Go on, Mr Gray! Chop-chop."
