A Trajectory of Life

(Trajectory and Grace: a mysterious interaction)

I'm just doing some serious research (Wikipedia) about David Foster, OC, OBC, the Canadian record producer, some of whose production I want to use as soundtrack for my upcoming musings.

And I find out about a free ticket for a flight to a better life that Foster offered to another guy:

In 1992, Foster was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway when his car struck actor/dancer Ben Vereen, who had crashed his car* and was in a daze.

Despite being thrown 90 feet, Vereen survived.

Vereen went on the record to state that it probably saved his life as he had had a serious drinking problem caused by the death of his daughter.

"Trajectories of life - how strange they are!", Vereen may well have been thinking; mid-flight.

*the report seems to have been written shortly after the accitent: it still sounds a bit confused.
