I’m
just listening (on BBC4, which is still very good) to an account of a particularly
eventful performance staged by some independent theatre group in Belarus.
“That evening the troupe got arrested
by the state police, along with the whole audience.”
What
a night out! Not only was the show outrageously costly,
but also the official review was absolutely damning.
