Paradoxically, waste is clearly part of the system, part of our nature even - but at the same time, doesn't it run profoundly against something else in us?
(And the resulting longing to make up for the waste we cause and for the waste we painfully witness - isn't it one of the postulates inscribed in our psyche, of which there's seven, one binds them all).
I looked at the kids again and saw more. "But then - isn't it only appropriate?", I thought.
