I'm chatting with some friends of mine about Sweden, where they lived for a long while.
I'm interested in the place as – strangely – I seem to have a weak spot for Germanic peoples. Perhaps because the opposites attract: I'm a Slav, for most part, I guess.
We're concerned with the way things are developing – or deteriorating – inside Swedes.
True to form, I want to end on a positive note. „But there is some hope for them somewhere, isn't there?”, I ask.
They answer immediately and unisono, not a trace of doubt in their voices: "No."
